Suspended over the stairway in the home which opens to all 3 levels of the home, is a suspended sculpture, designed to relate to the home’s location and the client’s passion of sailing. The aluminum tube structural support members, which are forms relating to sail boats and which are suspended by means of stainless-steel cables. Swirling around these forms are curved dichroic acrylic in shapes that relate to the surrounding palm trees, and which are held in their curved position by cables that are secured to the aluminum tubes with custom hardware.
