Daily Chapel
The glass in the chapel was designed to represent the star filled universe in reference to the patron saint, Mary. It was also intended to soften the light in the chapel and create a more meditative space as a relief from the commercialism of the amusement parks surrounding the shrine.
Sanctuary Doors
The doors entering the sanctuary are composed of beveled blue plate glass in a wave like pattern to symbolize the purification nature of water as a worshipper enters the sacred space of the sanctuary. Surrounding these prismatic forms is a background of etched glass while above these wave forms are diagonal prismatic elements cascading from the larger glass opening above representing the spirit descending on the water forms.
Suspended Cross
Above the altar is a suspended prismatic glass cross behind the sculptural figure of a crucified Christ sculpture by the sculptor, Jerzy Kenar.
