The sculptural work of two glass figures positioned on spiraling columns was designed by Thomas Sayre who collaborated with von Roenn to develop the structural system, fabrication of glass and hardware system and the installation. Sayre designed the figures to be moved by individuals from the ground as an expression of his concept that individuals ‘direct’ the community’s direction. The glass figures are stabilized by stainless steel hardware and cables and was cut by water jet as full figures. The illumination creates the most dramatic viewing experiences is at night.
